Our eye doctors (Optometrists) are committed to providing excellent care for you and your entire family! They have been extensively trained and are not only professional but also fun to talk to. We treat our patients like family and friends and we always support our community.
Dr. Jason Lam O.D., M.B.A.
Dr. Lam was born in a boat in international waters but calls California his home. He was raised in Monterey Park and obtained his Bachelors of Science degree in Psychobiology from the University of California at Los Angeles (GO BRUINS!). Dr. Lam then obtained his doctorate degree from the Southern California College of Optometry. Lastly, he then obtained a masters degree in business administration with a healthcare executive entrepreneurship emphasis at the Paul Merage School of Business at the University of California at Irvine.
He has worked in Ophthalmology at the prestigious Jules Stein Eye Institute at UCLA and for Macy Eye Center at the Cedars-Sinai Hospital towers. He has proudly served the veterans of our military at the Veteran Affairs (VA) Hospital in Los Angeles. He previously was the Clinical Director for NVision Laser Eye Centers where he managed the surgical and medical care of patients getting LASIK, Cataracts surgery, Corneal Inlays, PRK, Intacs, ICL, PresbyLASIK, Blepharoplasty, Glaucoma, Dry Eye disorders and much more. When needed, Dr. Lam serves as a faculty Assistant Professor for the University Eye Care of Los Angeles, a subsidiary clinic of the Southern California College of Optometry at Ketchum University.
However, Dr. Lam's most proud moments are when he gives his time to provide charitable eye care. He has been on 3 International missions to Honduras, Panama and South Africa and 4 domestic missions to the population of Los Angeles (2x), Bakersfield, and Santa Ana through his affiliation with the One Sight organization. Dr. Lam has served as an expert examiner for the National Boards of Examinations in Optometry and is the 2016 President of the Asian American Optometric Society, the largest Optometric society in California.
For his work for Optometry, the community and for his patients, Dr. Lam was awarded the prestigious California Optometric Association's Young Optometrist of the Year award in 2012. An award bestowed upon select few Optometrists each year after a nomination process statewide.
He is excited and proud to call the community and the people of Corona and Ontario (and it's surrounding areas) his new family and he hopes to serve it well.
Dr. Nhi Nguyen O.D.
Dr. Nguyen was born and raised in Southern California and earned her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of California, Los Angeles. She obtained her Doctorate of Optometry Degree from Southern California College of Optometry (SCCO), graduating with Magna Cum Laude latin honors.
She has worked in various optometry settings including the Veterans Affairs (VA) hospital in Las Vegas, East Valley Eye Center in Burbank, and an Indian Health Service reservation in Arizona. She has managed patients with diabetic retinopathy, glaucoma, macular degeneration, dry eye, cataracts, hypertensive retinopathy, and much more.
In her spare time, Dr. Nguyen enjoys exploring new cities, hiking, and wine tasting. She aspires to combine her passion for traveling with her passion to serve by continuing to participate in mission trips to under served areas where eye care may not be readily available. “
Dr. Danny Head O.D.
Dr. Head was born and raised in South Carolina before moving west and eventually calling California home since 2008. Influenced by an early passion for the Olympics, he has a wide range of hobbies from cultural geography and travel to following and playing tennis. LA2028 can’t come soon enough!
Earning his bachelor’s degree in Biology from Cal Poly Pomona, he went on to attend Southern California College of Optometry developing a passion for providing care to the Los Angeles Metropolitan area. He received clinical training in a wide range of disciplines from vision therapy and low vision needs to oculoplastics. He enjoys working with patients of all ages providing treatment or therapy for various ocular conditions such as glaucoma or diabetic retinopathy.
He enjoys getting to know his patients while taking time to have the conversation about what contributes to great vision, the health, and the comfort of our eyes. As well as taking care of glasses and contact needs, he strives to explore options such as dry eyes or over-worked eyes as other ways to improve comfort. Practicing full-scope Optometry, all Eyekonic Family Optometry doctors go the extra mile in assessing and managing ocular diseases.
