Optometrist
Dr. Lam's journey began in an extraordinary way—he was born on a boat in international waters but proudly considers California his home. Raised in Monterey Park, he earned his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of California, Los Angeles (Go Bruins!). He then completed his doctorate at the Southern California College of Optometry, followed by a Master's degree in Business Administration with an emphasis on Healthcare Executive Leadership from the Paul Merage School of Business at the University of California, Irvine.

His professional experience in ophthalmology includes notable positions at the renowned Jules Stein Eye Institute at UCLA and the Macy Eye Center located within the Cedars-Sinai Hospital Towers. Dr. Lam has also dedicated his expertise to serving veterans at the Veteran Affairs (VA) Hospital in Los Angeles. Previously, as the Clinical Director for NVISION Laser Eye Centers, he managed comprehensive surgical and medical care for various procedures, including LASIK, cataract surgeries, corneal inlays, PRK, Intacs, ICL, blepharoplasty, glaucoma, and much more. Additionally, he shared his knowledge as a Faculty Assistant Professor for University Eye Care of Los Angeles, a subsidiary of the Southern California College of Optometry at Ketchum University.
A true passion of Dr. Lam’s is providing charitable eye care. He has participated in four international missions to countries like Honduras, Panama, Cambodia, and South Africa. Domestically, he has contributed to over 12 missions, bringing essential services to communities across California from San Diego to Central California through the OneSight organization.
As a recognized expert, Dr. Lam has served as an examiner for the National Boards of Examinations in Optometry and held the esteemed position of President of the Asian American Optometric Society, the largest optometric society in California.
In recognition of his outstanding contributions to optometry and the community, Dr. Lam received the prestigious California Optometric Association's Young Optometrist of the Year Award in 2011, a testament to his dedication, as this honor is awarded to only a select few each year after a rigorous nomination process.
Dr. Lam is thrilled to call the vibrant community of Southern California—and its surrounding areas—his family. He looks forward to continuing to serve and make a positive impact in the lives of others.

Dr. Vicki Nguon has lived in the Inland Empire area for well over a decade. She is an alumna of Eleanor Roosevelt High School where she played tennis and has previously represented the city of Corona in competitive USTA Team Tennis tournaments.

Dr. Nguon graduated with her degree in Biological Sciences and Excellence in Honors for research on glaucoma from the University of California, Irvine and received her doctorate from Southern California College of Optometry at Marshall B. Ketchum University where she served as President of the Private Practice Club. She interned at Castle Family Health Center in Atwater, CA, the Veterans' Affairs Southern Nevada Health Care System, Ketchum Health in Anaheim, CA, and California Eye Specialists Inland Empire.
Dr. Nguon's professional interests include managing dry eyes, contact lenses, myopia control, ocular disease, and most importantly improving her patients' quality of life through better vision and health. She enjoys taking time to get to know her patients while also providing education on ways to improve the comfort, vision, and health of their eyes.
Dr. Nguon is happy to serve the community that she grew up in and provide the highest quality of care equipped with the latest technology and up-to-date research.
In her spare time, she can be found catching up on shows and movies, playing board games, deducing her way out of escape rooms, and looking for opportunities to travel and explore the world!

Sandra Ruezga, O.D. received her Doctorate of Optometry from the Southern California College of Optometry at Marshall B. Ketchum University in 2013. She went on to pursue further advanced training and completed a residency in Primary Eye Care/Ocular Disease at the New Mexico VA Medical Center in Albuquerque, New Mexico, where she participated in an ongoing prospective research investigation for detecting early Glaucoma.

Prior to her optometric education, Dr. Ruezga attended Mountain View High School in El Monte, CA, and graduated from Saint Mary’s College of California in 2008 with a Bachelor of Science in Health Science and a minor in Spanish. She was also an NCAA Division I athlete in softball while at Saint Mary’s and competed overseas in the Netherlands following graduation in Hoofddorp, North-Holland.
Her professional interests include primary eye care, contact lens fitting including specialty contact lenses, age-related macular degeneration, and evaluation and management of Glaucoma. She has demonstrated commitment to lifelong learning and is currently Board Certified after achieving Diplomate status for the American Board of Optometry. When Dr. Ruezga is not seeing patients, she enjoys spending free time with her family, gardening, traveling, and attending concerts.

She completed her bachelor’s degree in biology from theUniversity of Texas at Austin and continued her studies at the University of Houston College of Optometry, where she earned her doctorate degree. Her clinical training included rotations inprimary care, special needs adult and pediatric services, contact lens, and ocular disease, where she received a letter of clinical excellence.

She completed her bachelor’s degree in biology from theUniversity of Texas at Austin and continued her studies at the University of Houston College of Optometry, where she earned her doctorate degree. Her clinical training included rotations inprimary care, special needs adult and pediatric services, contact lens, and ocular disease, where she received a letter of clinical excellence.
After graduating in 2014, Dr. Tai worked in a multi-specialty ophthalmology practice that allowed herto provide comprehensive eye exams, diagnose and manage a wide array of ocular diseases, manage dry eye, and provide pre and post operative care for refractive surgery and cataract extraction. She strives to help patients see well and to understand more about their vision andocular health.
Dr. Tai enjoyd spending quality time with her family and friends, experimenting with recipes, matcha lattes, and exploring new places.
