Our Doctors of Optometry

Our eye doctors (Optometrists) are committed to providing excellent care for you and your entire family! They have been extensively trained and are not only professional but also fun to talk to.  We treat our patients like family and friends and we always support our community.  

Dr. Jason Lam O.D., M.B.A.

Dr. Lam was born in a boat in international waters but calls California his home. He was raised in Monterey Park and obtained his Bachelors of Science degree in Psychobiology from the University of California at Los Angeles (GO BRUINS!). Dr. Lam then obtained his doctorate degree from the Southern California College of Optometry. Lastly, he then obtained a masters degree in business administration with a healthcare executive entrepreneurship emphasis at the Paul Merage School of Business at the University of California at Irvine.  

He has worked in Ophthalmology at the prestigious Jules Stein Eye Institute at UCLA and for Macy Eye Center at the Cedars-Sinai Hospital towers.  He has proudly served the veterans of our military at the Veteran Affairs (VA) Hospital in Los Angeles.  He previously was the Clinical Director for NVision Laser Eye Centers where he managed the surgical and medical care of patients getting LASIK, Cataracts surgery, Corneal Inlays, PRK, Intacs, ICL, PresbyLASIK, Blepharoplasty, Glaucoma, Dry Eye disorders and much more.  When needed, Dr. Lam serves as a faculty Assistant Professor for the University Eye Care of Los Angeles, a subsidiary clinic of the Southern California College of Optometry at Ketchum University.

However, Dr. Lam's most proud moments are when he gives his time to provide charitable eye care. He has been on 4 International missions to Honduras, Panama, Cambodia and South Africa and 10 domestic missions to the population of Los Angeles (4x), Bakersfield (2x), San Diego (2x), Vista and Santa Ana through his affiliation with the One Sight organization.  Dr. Lam has served as an expert examiner for the National Boards of Examinations in Optometry and was the 2016 President of the Asian American Optometric Society, the largest Optometric society in California.

For his work for Optometry, the community and for his patients,  Dr. Lam was awarded the prestigious California Optometric Association's Young Optometrist of the Year award in 2012.  An award bestowed upon select few Optometrists each year after a nomination process statewide.

He is excited and proud to call the community and the people of Corona and Ontario (and it's surrounding areas) his new family and he hopes to serve it well.

Dr. Faria Islam O.D.


Dr. Islam grew up in Southern California. She completed her undergraduate studies at the University of California, Los Angeles and graduated with a bachelor of science in Psychobiology.

While at UCLA, she had the opportunity to shadow optometrists at the prestigious Jules Stein Eye Institute, where she developed her passion to pursue a career in optometry.

She continued her studies at the University of California, Berkeley School of Optometry, where she received her doctorate degree. Dr. Islam has worked in a variety of optometric settings including community clinics, VA hospitals, and private practices. She loves seeing patients of all ages and backgrounds! Her primary interest lies in managing ocular diseases such as glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, and macular degeneration. In her free time, Dr. Islam loves to spend time with her fiancé, family, and friends.

Dr. Danny Head O.D.

Dr. Head was born and raised in South Carolina before moving west and eventually calling California home since 2008.  Influenced by an early passion for the Olympics, he has a wide range of hobbies from cultural geography and travel to following and playing tennis.  LA2028 can’t come soon enough! 

Earning his bachelor’s degree in Biology from Cal Poly Pomona, he went on to attend Southern California College of Optometry developing a passion for providing care to the Los Angeles Metropolitan area.  He received clinical training in a wide range of disciplines from vision therapy and low vision needs to oculoplastics.  He enjoys working with patients of all ages providing treatment or therapy for various ocular conditions such as glaucoma or diabetic retinopathy. 

He enjoys getting to know his patients while taking time to have the conversation about what contributes to great vision, the health, and the comfort of our eyes.  As well as taking care of glasses and contact needs, he strives to explore options such as dry eyes or over-worked eyes as other ways to improve comfort.  Practicing full-scope Optometry, all Eyekonic Family Optometry doctors go the extra mile in assessing and managing ocular diseases.


Dr. Leanne Lau, O.D.


Dr. Leanne Lau grew up in Southern California and graduated from the University of California, Los Angeles, where she received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychobiology. 

She continued her education at the Southern California College of Optometry in Fullerton and received her Doctorate in Optometry, graduating with honors. 

She has worked in a variety of optometric practices, giving her valuable experience and knowledge in fitting a vast array of contact lenses as well as diagnosing and managing ocular diseases. 

When she has time off, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two sons. 

Dr. Paul Adams O.D., M.S.

Dr. Adams is originally from St.Louis,Missouri. He attended the University of Missouri as well as the University of Houston. Dr.Adams earned his Doctorate of Optometry from the UNIVERSITY of Missouri - St.Louis in 1984. Dr Adams also earned his Masters degree in Biotechnology from Johns Hopkins UNIVERSITY in 2009

Dr.Adams has lived in Southern California since 1984 and has worked in Orange,Riverside and San Bernardino counties as well as in the high desert areas of Victorville,Palmdale and Lancaster. Dr.Adams has been affiliated with Eye Exam of California and Lenscrafters since 1987 where he has managed various offices as well as traveling to many offices throughout Southern California which has allowed him to experience and treat a large variety of patient conditions. Dr.Adams has helped with the annual Gift of Sight day in various offices for well over 20 years. Dr. Adams enjoys helping patients solve their visual problems and looks forward to helping the people of Ontario and surrounding area to see their best.
